UK F1 2025

While Andy and I are at Silverstone, Gwyn and Michele have a shopping day at Covent Garden.

Up at 6:00 and showered. My breakfast was smoke salmon and eggs. Andy and I walked to our meeting point for the bus, but it was very late. After watching many buses go by, our bus finally arrived at 8:30. It turns out that our bus was waiting for us at another pickup point.

A nice ride to the track. The weather was beautiful. We were in a different lot than planned. Roland and I made our way to the Paddock clubs. He had a pass for Alpine. We were just waved through the gate. It took a bit, but we finally found the bus that would take us over. Up the stairs and checked in, and headed right out to the pit lane walk. I got up to the Red Bull garage, and the girl let me in. I could have touched Max's car! Had a picture taken with some of the mechanics.

After that we went backup and got some food: salmon and potatoes. I went to the table but they would not let me sit down. They said they had all 10 seats taken. I went back to the station with my food. I finished my plate standing there waiting. They eventually sat me in the F1 experience group.

I went out on the balcony above the pits for the F1 practice. That was fun. Right over the Hass garage. Back in and listened to Christian Horner. After that I went outside and walked part of the track. Talked to some nice marshalls. Back to the Paddock and watched FP2. It was about 5:00 and I went to look for Roland. We walked out and eventually found the bus. Walked out gate 3 to our bus to take us back.

There was a nice BBQ waiting for us back at The Arden . Enjoyed talking with the new arrivals.

Went to bed, but I really did not sleep.
