July 6 - Race Day
Today is the British Grand Prix race at Silverstone!
Today Gwyn and Michele will be going to Kensington Palace to see royal fashion treasures.
Race day! Up showered, breakfast,then the bus at 7:45. Easy ride in again. Andy and I wandered over to the Lego place, but it was geared for the kids. We made our way over to our seats, about a half hour walk. Watched for a while the F3 race, but it was pouring and they cut it short. The F2 race ran better, but we went down the stairs for lunch and a pit stop. The lines were not as long, and the chicken with fries and veggie wrap was good. Back up to the stands and watched the hot lap, and all the other festivities that happen before a race. Fat Boy Slim was DJing at the top of the track.
The race was fun. It rained it stopped, it rained. Max spun out. Landon won, and Niko won his first podium!
Andy I walked back to Gate 3 and to the bus. We finally took off, and got back to the hotel. Then we headed up to Osteria da Gino for dinner. Very good food. Back to the hotel and bed.
